I had to Leave My Study Abroad..

I unfortunately had to leave my study abroad in Rome Italy where I was doing a full time internship and taking an Italian class. I was able to stay there a full month and then had to go home because of the Coronavirus spreading across the world. It was in Italy before it was in the US and I got asked to leave from my home school. I actually chose to leave the day they emailed me to come home so I was able to tell them I was already on my way home. The main reason I was asked to leave was because Italy overall went to a level 3 travel advisory. Which means avoid nonessential travel, since I left they have been on complete lockdown and have been strict about the policies. I luckily was able to come back and am safe where all my family and friends are. Unfortunately the coronavirus is now basically all over the world and is in the US that the same effects that were there are now happening here. I am sad to have had to leave on short notice and cut my study abroad short because I had so many other travel plans I wanted to do before my full 3 months were over. Overall, I am happy to have gotten the experience and want to travel to Italy again later on in life once all of this craziness is over.
