IES Abroad is a 501(c)(3) entity. All contributions and bequests made to IES Abroad are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. The federal tax identification number for IES Abroad is 36-2251912.

Change A Life (current use funds)

Create an immediate impact on IES Abroad students and programs by donating to the following funds:

  • IES Abroad Scholarship Fund: supports students this semester, particularly those with financial barriers to studying abroad.
  • Travel grants: up to $1,000.
  • Internship Scholarship Fund: supports scholarships for summer internship students.
  • Global Pillars Fund: supports immersive, project-based programs in the areas of Sustainable Living, Equitable Living, and Human Well Being.
  • FY26 Unrestricted/Area of Greatest Need: unrestricted support for scholarships and programming.

  • Bruce Pauley Scholarship: scholarship with preference to Grinnell College students.
  • Dr. Roswitha Benesch Endowed Scholarship: scholarship with preference for student in Vienna with a demonstrated interest in art history.
  • Edward Mowatt Endowed Scholarship: scholarship with preference for students studying abroad in London.
  • Clarence and Alberta Giese Endowed Scholarship: scholarship with preference for students studying abroad in Vienna.
  • Paul and Brita Koutny Founders Scholarship: open to all students.
  • Charles Merrill, Jr. Endowed Scholarship: scholarship with preference for Morehouse College and Spelman College students.
  • Maria Lee Endowed Scholarship: open to all students.
