MAP for Student Health, Safety & Crisis Management
Published in October 2013, the IES Abroad MAP for Student Health, Safety & Crisis Management offers a detailed set of guidelines for addressing student safety and crisis management in study abroad programs. It is the third publication in IES Abroad's Model Assessment Practice series.
Career Benefits of Study Abroad
From a ground-breaking 50-year longitudinal study (2002) to a timely study of economic recession/post-recession outcomes (2012), IES Abroad has a rich history of leading the field of international education in quantitative research on the practical outcomes of studying abroad.
Initiative to Diversify Education Abroad
In 2008, we launched our Initiative to Diversify Education Abroad (IDEA) to creatively address the relatively low participation of underrepresented students in study abroad. Since launching the Initiative, we have increased enrollment of ethnically-diverse students across all our platforms by 77%.
Study Abroad Film Festival
In 2014, we launched our Study Abroad Film Festival (the first in the industry of its kind!), which asks students to capture the spirit of study abroad—both what it meant to them, and how it redefined their world. Their work continues to be recognized by the media, and has received multiple prestigious awards.
Global Citizen of the Year Award
