About the Program

Previously known as Irish Studies, the new and enhanced Dublin semester program is now called History, Politics & Social Change. All the great things about Irish Studies are wrapped up in this expanded version. In this history-focused program, you learn about Irish culture through courses in the humanities and social sciences that focus on themes of tradition, change, and identity in modern Ireland. Choose from a plethora of IES Abroad courses taught by local, expert faculty. Supplement your courses with a part-time internship and take advantage of field trips outside of the city.

Dublin welcomes you to experience life in the cultural and economic heart of Ireland. Known for its world-class art and music scene, your Irish education extends beyond the classroom when you listen to live music in Temple Bar or take in a show at the famed Abbey Theatre.
