A little rain never hurt anybody...

Week 1 is finally over after 5 days of German Intensive, getting to know the city of Vienna, countless meetings and just a lot of running around. After all of that excitement, a weekend getaway was much needed!

Once class was over on Friday, a few of us hopped on a train to Innsbruck, Tirol. In the western part of Austria, Innsbruck is a small mountain town. In Vienna, the weather was very hot and sunny. Emerging from the train in Innsbruck, we were greated with lots of rain and cold weather. Some of us were not dressed for that weather but we made a quick trip to our AirBnB. Day 1 was over just like that.

Day 2 started with an amazing view from our window.

After that we walked the town for the day. We wandered around and forgot about all the stress of classes and school. Innsbruck is a beautiful town that was perfect for pictures!

There were also so many great coffee shops, that I was ready to pack up and move there. I am always a fan of a good coffee shop (I guess that is my inner Seattle native coming out)!

Toward the middle of the day, we took a ride on the cable car to the top of the mountain. While there was too much fog at the very top, we still got a fantastic view of the city.

Overall, Innsbruck was a wonderful town to escape to, and I could not have been happier to spend that time with my new friends!
