Doing Abroad Right Part 2

Jami Weinstein
June 27, 2017

I made it a point to take advantage of every moment I had left abroad, and that meant traveling every single weekend I had available. I reckon that is what studying abroad is all about, right? Well, not entirely, of course the main event is education. However, it is not only that but also what I am getting out of my experience, and that is experience.

Experiencing the Moeraki Boulders.

Experiencing the Otago Peninsula at sunset.

Experiencing Tunnel Beach before it started to downpour in the dark.

Experiencing climbing (crawling up) Baldwin Street in Dunedin, the steepest street in the world.

Experiencing the New Zealand roads.

Experiencing a dozen rainbows in one day, including two at Nugget Point.

Experiencing how to take photos like Google Images while at Mclean Falls.

Experiencing the mystical Petrified Forest (Curio Bay).

Experiencing what paradise truly feels like on the South Sea Island.

Experiencing the magical sunrise in Fiji.

I like to think that I am a collector of experiences, not things.

Stay tuned for my final blog post but not my final adventures.

Hey there! My name is Jami Weinstein, I am from the north suburbs of Chicago and I am a junior majoring in speech language pathology at Indiana University! I am thrilled to be sharing my study abroad experience from across the world, behind my camera, in Christchurch, New Zealand. When I snap a photograph, I feel as if I have jumped into a whole new perspective of life, and to me, words can’t explain a single moment, but a photo captures a story. Follow along on my journey as I make the moments count. Adventure awaits!
