It is a beautifully clear day with a thin sheet of snow, the kind that deceives me into believing that it would be warm outside. I am sitting in Albany, NY airport, waiting for my flight to Newark, NJ and then Amsterdam. I am reflecting on the moments that led up to my goodbyes and begin my hellos.
I am a current junior at Williams College. Three years ago, I arrived with innocent hopes of making the aptly named Purple Valley my home. I learned to struggle, survive, thrive, and love. This morning, I left a home dear to my heart.
The lifelong goals of exploration, personal growth, and happiness are now projected towards my journey abroad in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I decided to partake in this program due to my interest in sexuality, ethnicity, and art history studies; the country upholds a liberal position and provides great accessibility to impressive art collections. I plan to continue this blog to memorialize my adventures in this beautiful place.
Home is where the heart is. Goodbye, Williams. Hello, Amsterdam. May you treat me well.

I love engaging in spontaneous adventures and finding great spots off the beaten path. I enjoy viewing and creating travel and food albums. Wish me luck in finding the perfect scarf and all the European cheeses!
