Look What the Sand Blew In

This past weekend we took a trip to the Sahara Desert. It was one of the most surreal and breathtaking experiences ever. We were scheduled to ride camels into the sunset but Mama Africa decided to have a sand storm instead. Nonetheless, we resumed our trip the next morning to watch the sunrise.

Meet Malik everyone!

It was love at first sight. He was very gentle and strong! We had great conversation throughout the trip.


          

Riding through the dunes, everyone was very excited, some afraid, to be riding on the camels.  On the left is Malik’s good friend Kamau. After a long camel-back and walk deep into the Saharan dunes we arrived…

To the Sunrise!

Sitting on top of the dunes, I was speechless. I was able to sit and enjoy a luxury that doesn’t happen very often. The feeling of being at peace consumed every worry I felt. The entire group sat speechless to watch the sunrise. A moment I will never forget.
