This past weekend I traveled to Paris with a few of my friends. None of us had to been to Paris before and we were beyond excited. Early in the morning we stopped by a local bakery to get pastries for our jampacked day of sightseeing. Our first stop was the Eiffel Tower. It was so surreal for all of us that we spent about two hours taking pictures. What made it even better was that the sun was shining and it wasn’t too crowded. Next, we headed to the Arc de Triomphe and followed that up by stopping by the infamous Laudrée for some macarons. Those macarons definitely live up to their reputation. After the Arc, we made our way past the Grand Palace, through Tuileries Garden and headed to the Louvre. It was insane! We also really appreciated that things were accessible to us for free as long as we had our Visas. After the Louvre, we headed to this very popular restaurant that was recommended to us called Le Refuge des Fondus. There we had meat and cheese fondue with unlimited bread and our drinks were served to us in baby bottles. Weird, right? After all that we had done, it was definitely an early night for us. The next morning, we were off to conquer Versailles. We got to the palace as soon as it opened, and we all were so eager to see all of the amazing details that went into its creation. There was so much to see that we wanted to walk through about 3 times to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Of course we couldn't leave without grabbing some crepes and seeing the Eiffel Tower at night. All in all, it was an amazing weekend in Paris! I learned so much history in such a short amount of time! I can’t wait to go back!
