Parlez-vous français? It is important to realize that by choosing to study in France, you are choosing a very immersive program. With hard work and enthusiasm, you have the potential to emerge from your term in France as a much better French-speaker than you were before you arrived. Likewise, while with your host family, your apartment, residence hall, or out with friends French is expected. It is natural that you will want to call home and...

Contact an IES Abroad Ambassador for first-hand advice on budgeting in Buenos Aires. Arrival Instructions IES Abroad Buenos Aires staff will provide instructions on how to...

Rainforest Magic & Bumps in the Road: 4 Days in the Amazon

This past weekend with IES Abroad, we ventured to the most remote place I have ever traveled - the Tiputini Biological Station, located deep in the Amazon rainforest. The station is part of 1,500 acres of land used for research and education by the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, and sits right at the edge of Yasuní National Park - the most biologically diverse area in the world.
