A Typical Day in the Life

I’ve written a lot about my travels and adventures throughout Ecuador, but now it’s time to get real. Most days I’m not actually adventuring and am pretty soaked into the routine life of university.  So here is a post dedicated to “a day in the life” as a Quito Direct Enrollment student at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito.

Once you have been offered a place to study at UCL, you will be contacted by IES Abroad London staff giving you instructions on how to apply for student accommodation online. All UCL students apply for their own accommodation online, following the detailed instructions provided by IES Abroad. There is a quick turnaround time for this process, so it is important that students are proactive and apply immediately when instructed to do so. IES Abroad staff will provide you with guidance on how to apply for Queen Mary housing. You will receive your housing offer from Queen Mary via email, and will be responsible for accepting their housing offer online. Detailed instructions will be given by IES Abroad staff on how to do this.
IES Abroad students live in the Student Village, located on Queen Mary's campus. In the past, IES Abroad students have typically been placed in Maynard House or Varey House within the Village; however you may be placed in a different house.
