During orientation, you will attend sessions about academics, housing, health and safety, and culture. You will also receive your course schedule. Following orientation, you will begin a mandatory five-day (Monday to Friday) period of intensive French language instruction which includes activities, outings, and orientation to French life.

Internships are available to students at an advanced level of French meaning that students must place into FR 352 or higher. Internship placement options for the Fall 2023 semester could be limited and/or virtual. Please note that internship seminar is hosted in-person at our IES Abroad Paris center.
