“Study abroad is not only the best way to learn a second language; it is also a deeply transformative experience that equips you with the intercultural skills needed to navigate today’s interconnected world. It teaches lessons that go far beyond the classroom—about coping with uncertainty, challenging your assumptions, and embracing difference. It’s the kind of education that changes not just what you know, but who you are, shaping the way you view your cultural identity and the world around you.”

“Study abroad matters to me as it fosters cultural exchange, understanding, and empathy among individuals from diverse backgrounds. Over nearly 20 years collaborating with IES Abroad at Mescladís, I have witnessed how immersive experiences (mainly in Barcelona, but also in Salamanca) profoundly impact students. Engaging with themes of migration and human rights enriches their perspectives and instills a sense of global responsibility.”
