Hi All! My name is Christina and I am thrilled to be in Cape Town. Originally from Long Island, I study Neuroscience and Studio Arts at the University of Rochester. With a life long passion for photography and medicine I am delighted to be documenting my experience in South Africa through a Public Health lens, but don't be surprised if there is also a lot of pictures of food, people and tourist-y things.

Abbi Vandersnick, a transfer student from Houston, Texas and graduating senior for the school year of 2014/2015, that couldn't be more excited! Currently serving her Co-ed Fraternity's executive board and filming through her major, she spends her free time playing guitar and painting. Always looking for a new experience and character development (for writing scripts), being abroad in London will surely suffice!

I'm Montana, and was born in New York (no, not in Montana), then some years later moved to Canada. I like trying new foods, helping others, dancing around, playing with kids, and meeting people. Above everything I absolutely love traveling, hence the IES summer abroad and studying foreign relations. Currently I'm at Georgetown University, studying development and diversity in the Pacific and African regions.

I'm Dorothy Moore, a recently-declared Geography and Education Studies major at Macalester College. I am originally from Oak Park, a suburb of Chicago, so I am most comfortable in cities with public transportation, bike routes, and corner coffee shops. My favorite words are wanderlust (love of travel) and fervent (having great intensity of spirit) and I try to live with them as guiding principles. I love to read and write, and I am always looking for a new story to tell. I don't know where I'm headed, but for now, I'm happy just exploring.

Connor Cook

Raised in Annapolis, MD for most of my life, I have been exposed to exotics ships that enter the Annapolis and Baltimore harbors. My dad, who served in the Navy, taught me from a young age the value of international experience and the importance of putting myself out there in order to gain it.
After graduating from high school in 2010, I decided to move to Boston, and I studied there for several years before returning to finish my education close to home. However, I have grown to miss the city, and the fun of reaching outside my comfort zone is sorely missed. I want to pursue the opportunity to grow and take lessons learned from other cultures so I may continue to evolve as a person. Southeast Asia and Japan in particular have always eluded my grasp due to budget restrictions, but I have scrimped and saved so that I may finally make this a reality. With your organizations help, I am optimistic that I'll make this summer will truly be one to remember.

My name is Connor Cook- nice to meet you! I'm a 21 y/o from the naval town of Annapolis, MD studying Computer Science at the University of Maryland. I like to lead a colorful life, try new things- I run, I tweak computer things, I watch anime, and I love electronic music (and tea).
