Hi. I'm Jack Toll, and I'm a junior at The College of William and Mary from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I'm studying Mandarin Language and Culture. Being from outside of Philadelphia, I'm utterly obsessed with Philly sports teams, mainly the Philadelphia 76ers and Eagles, and plan on throwing myself headfirst into Shanghai sports culture. As for hobbies, I'm really into hanging out with my friends, obsessing over penny stock investing, and participating in intramural handball leagues on campus. A fun fact about me would probably be that my first ever job was as a Media Production intern at CATV-47, the first and only Native-American operated and owned television station in the state of Oklahoma. I spent over a month living in Concho, Oklahoma, where I produced content for CATV, which is headquartered on the Cheyenne-Arapaho reservation that many of my family members and ancestors either once lived on or are currently buried on.

Hi all! I am a junior at the University of Minnesota studying Global Studies, with a focus on the global political economy in Latin America. I love being able to experience my favorite city, Minneapolis, while
gaining my education. My hobbies include reading, trying new food, shopping and exploring. My favorite animal is a sloth, and my favorite travel memory so far was when I got to witness a sloth climbing down from a tree outside of the Panama Canal!

My name is Heather. I am convinced I was named after my great aunt's Scottish terrier. I live right outside Cleveland. True to my urban studies major, I love being in the city- except when I decide to bike over 220 miles to Niagara Falls during a two-week experiential learning intensive course at my high school. I am thankful and excited for having the opportunity to study abroad and would love to share my trials and tribulations with the IES community.

I am a sophomore German and Secondary Education major at Susquehanna University. Some of my favorite activities include reading, hiking and being outside, running, and yoga. I am actually a certified yoga teacher! I want to be a German teacher after I graduate. My favorite word in German is Glühbirne which means light bulb, but translates literally to "glowing pear"!

I'm at junior at Georgetown, studying government, creative writing, and Arabic. I grew up in Vermont and Massachusetts. Interests include (but are not limited to!) radio, poetry, hiking, and beekeeping.

Hi! My name is Rachel Blau and I’m a Junior at Brandeis University studying Business and Social Enterprise and minoring in English and Legal Studies! In my free time I love climbing, hiking, cooking, reading, and
traveling. One fun fact about me is that this semester I’ll be serving as the Amsterdam global ambassador for KAHAL, connecting Jewish students abroad to local resources!

Beyond my academic interests, I am a firm believer in exploring the world and what nature has to offer. Hiking, traveling, exercising are some of my main interests. I believe that life is about embracing every opportunity that comes your way. In the end, a lifetime is a string of experiences and this experience would be one to be remembered.

I'm a lover of adventure, whether that's climbing mountains or exploring a new city. This has taken me from my hometown in North Carolina to the arctic circle and beyond, and most recently to Chile! I'm majoring in Biology on a pre-medical track, and I am thrilled to be learning medical Spanish in Santiago this semester.

Hello! My name is Hope Yi. I am a sophomore at Emory University majoring in International Studies and minoring in Global Health, Culture, and Society. I am a complete dork who loves spontaneity and adventure. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and absolutely love traveling, heights, being basic, and random things.

I'm a dancer-writer-photographer-coffee addict whose favorite store is Goodwill. You'll likely find me singing (badly) to Broadway tunes, napping, or taking pictures of my cat (son), Zorro.
