Thanksgiving in Italy

Hey all! Happy belated thanksgiving! I hope where ever you are you had a great meal (I had McDonalds but I’m not complaining). Anyways, so my friends and I did an Italy trip – Rome, Florence, and lastly Milan for 5 days. We ate tons of pizza and pasta and saw a bunch of cool landmarks. There’s not much to say because the video does it all so I wanted to touch upon another topic. First, listen…

“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you - it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you…Hopefully, you leave something good behind.” — Anthony Bourdain

I was sitting in my Spanish class yesterday and my teacher held a discussion about returning to the states. I felt like I was in denial and it almost seemed like it isn’t going to be a big deal. Long story short – class ended with a waterfall. It hit me hard that the program is coming to an end and I realized, I’m heartbroken. This loud and noisy city is home. All the friends I met here are home. The salty salads and tuna pizzas are home. But everything will be okay.
