First Bites in Milan!

I have officially been in Milan for a little over a week now and I have had some of the best food I have ever had in my life! I can only imagine what these next few months are going to be like. When I first arrived, I was playing it safe with my meals; only eating things that I was familiar with. As time has gone on, I have become more adventurous with the things I have been eating. The weirdest but best thing I have eaten so far was a sandwich that had walnuts and prosciutto on it! My homestay family has also made me some great meals! My favorites so far were rigatoni pesto and saffron risotto! It’s been a little bit of a challenge adjusting to the portion sizes here. They are so much smaller and I’m always so hungry. Yesterday at Miscusi, I ordered two bowls of pasta and inhaled them both with no regrets! I have been eating pasta every chance I get. My favorite noodle is Paccheri because they are huge and you can eat a small amount of them and be super full! If this is all that I have experienced in just one week, I can’t wait to see what else Milan has in store for me!
