Study Abroad with IES Abroad

There's a reason Penn State University is among the 275 U.S. colleges and universities that partner with IES Abroad.

You might hear that it's our 75+ years of study abroad expertise. Or that we've been named a Top Study Abroad Organization based on student reviews. Or even that we offer 140+ programs in 30 locations around the world and $7.9+ million in aid. All of which would be true. But there's one thing that shines through everything we do, and that's our unwavering commitment to you.

At IES Abroad, everything we do is about our students—from one-on-one predeparture advising to programming that is designed with your academic and personal goals in mind. Plus, as a Penn State  student, you're automatically eligible for our $1,000 Public University Grant and can apply for additional scholarships and aid.

As a not-for-profit study abroad and internship provider, you are our bottom line. Your success is our success. And in today’s world, that’s a pretty extraordinary thing.

Our Partnership

Penn State partners with IES Abroad on semester study, summer study, and summer internship programs. These programs (listed below) have been selected and approved by PSU so that students can incorporate a study abroad experience into their degree progress. We encourage you to discuss your interest in education abroad with your academic advisor(s) and an education abroad advisor. You might also want to connect with the study abroad advisor in your PSU college.

“While studying abroad, I learned how to live like a local and actually get to experience their authentic culture. This is something that a 5-day tour cannot achieve.”
