Student Visa for Greece

You will submit your Visa D application in-person at least two weeks prior to your departure date.

When you submit your application, you will bring your valid passport and supplemental documents.

More specific information about this process is available in your Student Portal account once you are accepted to a program.

In the United States, you will apply through one of Greece's Consulates, located in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Tampa, and Washington, D.C. Each location serves a specific geographic region called a "jurisdiction." The application center that serves your jurisdiction is where you will apply for your Grecian student visa. Some students may have multiple options, while others will have only one.

You can begin the visa process no more than 90 days before your program start date. You must submit your application in-person no less than two weeks before your program start date. You cannot apply until you have received your IES Abroad visa letters, however, which will be issued after your acceptance into the program.

In short, the earliest you can apply for your Visa D is 90 days before your program starts, and the latest you can apply is 2 weeks before your program starts.
