Better Late than Never.

So… I know I´ve been away from the blogging world for 2 months BUT I have an explanation (not an excuse but an actual explanation) so here it is: after coming back from the amazing trip to the Amazon I had my memory card full of photos and videos. I download all of these to my computer plus all of the other photos (so basically a lot of photos and videos) and my computer died. It turned off and when I tried to turn it on again all I could see was a white screen. I freaked out because I hadn´t done backup to any of my Brazil photos. So… since we´re in Brazil is harder to get assistance for a MacBook and I had to go all the way to Barra de Tijuca (it´s pretty far, trust me) in a bus during rush hour, with my roommate (thanks Brianna I love you) just to see if I could get an appointment with the genius bar. After insisting (and since Brazilians are the nicest people you´ve ever meet) they made a space for me. After at least one hour of trying everything we couldn´t turn my computer on but he gave me a solution (the last hope I had of saving my photos and videos) I had to download this program called data rescue that according to his own experience (he told us a funny story about his mother in law) it works perfectly. Well… it hasn´t worked perfectly for me I´ve only been able to recover some of my photos and none of my videos… but as they say hope is the last thing that we lose.

On a lighter note, at the beginning of our journey in Brazil (which seems so long ago! – really sad about this) we got the chance to go to one of the most beautiful places that I´ve ever seen: Ilha Grande.  We bonded, ate AMAZING food, had some Capirinhas at night at a bar in front of the beach (it´s allowed because Octavio was sleeping hahaha) saw the most amazing stars and visit the most beautiful beaches… but literally we went to Lopes Mendes beach which is in the list of the 10 most beautiful beaches of Brazil. I wish I had more photos to post but as I said I´ve only been able to recover a small amount of my photos but I promise that if I´m able to recover all of them (hopefully) I´ll do a #TB blog post (throwback post) so you can really understand how amazing it was but for now this will have to do.

So yes, even though I´ve been struggling without a computer for two months… life is good (sooooo sooo good!)

P.S. since everything got deleted from my computer these photos have #nofilter. I have no Photoshop, Lightroom or any other editing/developing program in my computer …but who needs editing with this landscape, right?
