Let's Just Not Talk About the End For a While....

It’s taken me a while to get the motivation to write a post. Not because I haven’t had a great time in Paris, but because I’m trying to capture it’s magic every single minute possible. And unfortunately, soon my study abroad journey will be coming to an end, and every time I make a draft for a blog post I find it hard for me to believe that soon, I will be back at “home” in the United States.

The past couple weeks in Paris have been amazing. I had the opportunity to show my friends and family around tourist site after tourist site last month. Yes, a good majority of the time was spent standing in line, but it was great to catch up with all of them and see where their journeys have taken them so far. A part of me is also jealous from the stories that I hear from my friends who are also studying abroad this semester. Some of them have just ended their Spring Break adventures, while I’m getting ready to study for finals. Finals……

I’ve decided to look at my calendar only when necessary. I’m finding it to be more and more depressing that my days in Paris are coming to a close. But, the number of days left has served as a reminder to do something every day and to really “profit” from the time that I have left here. I’m particularly excited about this weekend because literally every single day I’ve decided to see different parts of France. Yes, I know that I said that I was against seeing other parts of Paris, but these trips serve as a reminder for me that Paris is where I belong. Soon, my day to day activities will become things of the past, and the “lasts” of everything are slowly coming up next week. Last day of classes, last time at the student bar, last time at our favorite restaurant….the list goes on and on. Of course some things I’m glad to be ending (cough, cough classes). But I have to say that I’ve had a great time in Paris. No, I’m not going to get nostalgic yet because I still have over two weeks left. But soon, I will, and I know that with that I will start crying. But until then I’m going to try and take in as much of Paris, and France, as I can. After all, Paris is always a good idea 

It’s time to explore Paris while I can

Until next time,
