After having studied the cathedral at Reims in Art History class, I could not turn down the opportunity to see it in person, so I ventured with a group of IES students on an excursion to see it this week. Seeing it in person leaves such a strong impression, one that textbook photos and projector slides cannot live up to, but I hope the photos I took will give you a sense of the enormous scale, intricate detail, and awe inspiring presence that the Reims cathedral has.

Hi, I'm Marguerite Mannix, a current Art History student at the University of Texas at Austin. I'm a free spirited, photographer, writer, and lover of music, art and adventure. I consider myself somewhat of a nomad because I was born in NYC, grew up in Texas, went to boarding school in California, travel during the summer and am basically never in one place too long. I am so excited to study abroad in Paris this summer and share my stories and photos with you on this blog! Enjoy!!
