Thomas Tusher Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Thomas Tusher, Vienna 1961-62, who attended the University of California, Berkeley and went on to be the President and Chief Operating Officer of Levi Strauss & Co. from 1984 to 1996, when he retired. He began his career at Levi Strauss in 1969.
Mr. Tusher has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He is a director of Amisfield Wine Company in New Zealand and AMB Property in San Francisco. He is a former director of Dash America (Pearl Izumi), Cakebread Cellars, Great Western Financial Corporation and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Tom serves on the Haas School Board. He is also a director of the World Wildlife Fund and a member of the Board of Trustees of the California Academy of Sciences.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to high-achieving undergraduate students at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley who are interested in international study.
Open to students who have been accepted to attend an IES Abroad spring program and are students in good standing at the University of California-Berkeley Haas School of Business.
