JP 202I - Japanese Language in Context Novice Abroad IV

This class is for students with three semesters of Japanese instruction or the equivalent. By the program’s conclusion, successful students will have the linguistic, socio-linguistic and socio-cultural competence necessary to deal with language functions such as stating regrets, giving advice, using honorific and humble expressions, giving directions, talking about bad experiences, their childhood and their future plans.

This course is designed to strengthen what students will study in class and to promote communicative competence by interacting with Japanese people outside of the classroom.
