One Month Down

I cannot believe that I have been here for a month already. Time is flying by! I want to start off saying that I have made the most amazing friends here. There are people from around the United States in my program and I am so thankful to have them by my side. We are tackling cultural immersion one day at a time. It makes everything a little less scary and a lot more effective. For example, I am really surprised at how easy it is to get around the city. Once you learn the main roads and the cardinal direction of each, it is a piece of cake.

Of Mozart and Men

It is hard to imagine that I've been living in Berlin for three weeks already. The longest I've ever been in Europe was one month, so I'm one week away from breaking my old record. Kind of hard to imagine, really, when you consider that next week I'll be traveling from country to country with someone I met at the beginning of this program.

A Look Back into Cadiz

At the end of last month, a couple of friends and I decided to make the journey south to Cadiz for Spain’s second largest Carnival Festival.  Cadiz is known for its pristine beaches and picturesque coastlines, and when you add in one of the most famous festivals it amounts to a great weekend.  On the bus ride down I could barely contain my excitement, some may say that my expectations for the weekend were unreasonably high, but with all the stories and footage I came across I just couldn’t help myself.

Two Weeks Around Ireland

Over the past two weeks I've had the opportunity to take in a variety of sights around Ireland on the West Coast. Here are some photos of my travels which included County Galway, County Kerry, County Meath, and County Mayo.

Day-Trip to Bursa!

After waking up earlier than usual and meeting up at the ferry docks on the Bosphorus, I set off with some good friends to the fourth largest city in Turky - Bursa. After two hours of napping on a ferry we arrived, and spent a full day taking in the sites of the city. Here is the full account of what we did:

Thanks for watching! See you next time around!
