First Impressions
Morocco!! Is this even possible? This is about all I managed the first night:
Turning 21 in Amsterdam
On the first day of classes, three people wiped out on their bikes on their way to our first class. That I know of. Naturally one of those people was me. But other than that, I think we’re all adjusting nicely to our new home! We are all taking two classes, although there are three total classes to choose from, all having to do with gender and sexuality. The two classes I am taking are: Gender, Sexuality & Modernity in Dutch Literature from 1800 to the Present and Sex & Science: Dutch Medicine and Intersexuality.
Week 3 - Paris & Budapest
Hello again from Wien!
This past week I've been around the world... literally. I started my weekend off (a little early I might add) with a trip to visit a friend doing the summer IES program in Paris. France just as beautiful and chic as I could have ever hoped.
Portugal
This past weekend was the large weekend trip to Portugal. We all had the opportunity to visit Aviero and Oporto. It was really fascinating going to a country where Portuguese was the primary language. After two weeks in Salamanca, especially being almost fluent in the language, being a true outsider was a novel experience. Though I had been on a weekend trip to Segovia with the international studies program, this IES exclusive trip was entirely different.
A Trip Around Town - and Howth!
Hello again, friends! Welcome to this, my second photography blog for the summer session here in Dublin, Ireland. It's a lot smaller than my previous one; now that classes have started, I don't have as much time to run around taking photos of random areas around town. However, I did manage to find a lovely little book store the other day, and I took a trip out to Howth last Wednesday for some wonderful photos. There was a trip to Scotland, too, but I'll save that for a little later when I can elaborate on it more. :)
What To Do With a Free Day?
Never Leaving
I am honestly never leaving this place. Everything here is stunning, it is barely even fair how gorgeous everything is. I honestly don't even know why anyone here would ever want to leave. I mean, seriously, look at it.
A L'Aise!
After just one short week of being in Rabat, we hopped on a plane and headed to West Africa. It was crazy how after one week, Rabat really did begin to feel like home. The flight to Dakar left at 11 pm and landed at one in the morning. I don't think I'll ever been able to complain about a redeye again!
These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things: Food and Coffee Edition
After spending the majority of my Sundays cafe hopping with friends, I have finally narrowed it down to a few of my absolute favorite places in Buenos Aires.
#1- The Crepe Place- This place pretty much only sells crepes. To some that sounds awful, but to my friends and I it sounds like heaven. Here you can choose from all types of crepes both sweet and savory while sitting on the terrace and chatting with friends. I will have to admit, we never got a lot of homework done there, but it was always worth the trip.
