Weekend Wanderings
The past two weekends, I have been lucky enough to explore more of Morocco. After our amazing trip to Dakar, the entire group caught the travel bug and was ready to see more of our host country. For those of you reading this and considering taking a trip to Morocco or studying abroad in Morocco, traveling around within the country is a must.
What Siena Has to Offer!
Buongiorno! That means good morning or good afternoon in Italian. In just two sessions of my Italian 101 class I have learned how to count, say my alphabet, greetings, and forms of “to be” or “to have”. It really helps to come home to an Italian family and hear them talk in Italian all the time. The two different classes I am taking this summer are an Italian language class and a history and culture of food and wine in Tuscany, Italy class.
Ciao from Siena!
Ciao everyone! Sorry for the late pre-arrival post. My arrival into Siena wasn’t very pleasant because I ran into some flight difficulties since it was my first time flying international. I was so excited to arrive into Siena. I actually did a two-week coach tour of Europe before my arrival into Siena for the program. I’ll tell you a little bit about it! I first flew into London on May 31st then the very next day we drive to Paris, the city of lights & love!
Yet Another Week in Santiago!
The new week brought exciting new experiences I did not even imagine I would have the chance to be a part of in such a short period of time!
On Monday I took a tour of a Vineyard in Santiago with a couple of fellow classmates. There we got a feel for how a Vineyard really works and got to taste some delicious wines and cheeses. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon!
A Chronicle of the Expo Milano 2015
The Expo Milano 2015 was the strongest factor pushing me to travel to Milan this summer. The Expo is an international event- commonly referred to as a world’s fair- occurring every few years that brings nations together to focus on a specific subject.
Objects at Rest Tend to Get Restless
One of the main reasons I chose to study abroad is that I have this great thirst for adventure. My bedroom walls are filled with maps, flags, photos, and quotes reminding me of my love for travel. But lately, I haven't been feeling as adventurous as I expect myself to be.
