In the past few years she has lived in Indiana, California, Washington D.C., and Chicago studying and working in arts and literacy education. I&rsquo;m a double major in art history and political science, and I hope to become a journalist after I graduate, focusing on the politics of the Middle East. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, singing, cooking, spending time with family and friends and watching TV shows as diverse as &ldquo;Doctor Who,&rdquo; &ldquo;The West Wing,&rdquo; and &ldquo;How I Met Your Mother.&rdquo; I love traveling, learning, and writing, and I can&rsquo;t wait to share my adventures in Istanbul!</span></p>

In my free time I enjoy going to Disneyland, finding a new TV show addiction on Netflix, and spending time with my friends. I love travelling and discovering new cultures. She is excited to be returning to China for the first time since her original foray into study abroad in Harbin, China on an NSLI-Y State Department scholarship as a rising senior in High School. This will be her sixth year studying Chinese and she can&#39;t wait to spend it exploring Beijing. When not practicing her Chinese characters and tones, Alexis enjoys reading, writing, drawing and cooking.</span></p>

She ventured to the Midwest from her hometown of Seattle, Washington to major in Animal Sciences and Evolution &amp; Ecology. She would like to become a livestock vet or marine biologist. When she&rsquo;s not studying, Nina loves to play ultimate frisbee, watch birds and raise meat rabbits. She&rsquo;s passionate about agriculture, nature and Spanish, all of which she hopes to explore in Ecuador. I love strong coffee, good writing and all types of music (from opera to country). I hail from Manlius, New York, a small town outside of Syracuse and I am ready to live it up in Amsterdam and travel all around Europe!</span></p>

However, my passion for languages and different cultures has driven me to study Spanish as well, and I am thrilled to be studying in Buenos Aires. Having never been to South America, I cannot wait to explore a new place and improve my Spanish skills while being immersed in a completely new environment. I&rsquo;ve read so much about Argentina&rsquo;s rich culture, from the striking landscape of Patagonia to the vibrant music and dance that is tango, that I&rsquo;m now ready and eager to discover it all for myself. I love traveling, I&rsquo;m a huge foodie, and I love taking pictures, so I am very excited to capture my abroad experiences through photography and share them with you!</span></p>

In addition to classes and laboratory research, she enjoys running, martial arts, and improvisational baking (with variable results). Having achieved comprehension of the Baltimore accent, she hopes to master Spanish as well, and is looking forward to many adventures in Chile!</span></p>

She is originally from a small town in upstate New York and growing up there has made her want to travel. She has so far been to France and Italy, but she hopes to make it to six continents in her lifetime. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading, writing, singing, dancing, taking pictures, and just being outside. She hopes to one day get her PhD in psychology and own a private practice.</span></p>
