We are proud to have been chosen as finalists in four categories of GoAbroad’s 2015 Innovation Awards. The winners will be announced at the upcoming NAFSA Conference in Boston next month.

GoAbroad.com is one of the largest online study abroad databases for students to search study abroad program opportunities and listings. These annual innovation awards are designed to showcase the best of originality, creativity, and exceptional ideas in international education.

IES Abroad is a finalist in the following categories:

  1. Innovation in Diversity
IES Abroad/The University of Texas at Austin
Cape Town: Maymester Program for Traditionally Underrepresented Students

This award recognizes strategic effort to expand study abroad opportunities to traditionally underrepresented groups.

  1. Innovation in Marketing & Digital Media
    2014 Study Abroad Film Festival

This award recognizes a creative and groundbreaking marketing, advertising, or digital media campaign.

  1. The STA Start the Adventure Award
Gretchen Cook-Anderson, Director of Diversity Recruiting and Advising

Sponsored by STA Travel, this award recognizes an individual making travel more accessible to student and youth travelers.

  1. Student Video
Andrew Brummer, (Barcelona Liberal Arts & Business, Fall 2014) Head-Banging Around Europe

This award recognizes a student-created video that captures the true essence of an international education program. Unlike the other Innovation Awards, the student video is selected based on the number of votes it receives through an online poll.
