NEW Fall 2010 Programs

Freiburg, Germany Environmental Studies & Sustainability Program
This new program option, offered in conjunction with Albert-Ludwigs-Universiet, offers students the city of Freiburg,
a center of progressive thinking on environmental issues, as a center for learning about and researching topics of immediate interest and concern. Highlights include

  • Specially-designed English-taught courses in Environmental Studies
  • Shared learning with local and international students and residents who embrace “green” living
  • Field trips to the Rhine River Valley, the Vosges Mountains, and the Swiss Alps

As part of our commitment to environmental issues, IES Abroad will purchase a carbon offset for the round-trip air travel for each student attending this program. This new program complements the existing Freiburg program, Freiburg – Language & Area Studies.
