We are thrilled to announce that the IES Abroad Study Abroad Film Festival—which received 54 film entries last year from 21 different locations worldwide—was honored with a Silver Trumpet Award at the 56th Annual Golden Trumpet Awards, held on June 4 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

The Golden Trumpet Awards are sponsored by the Publicity Club of Chicago, the largest independent public relations membership organization in the United States; the Film Festival was acknowledged in the Marketing-Branding category.

More than 450 people were in attendance at the awards ceremony. IES Abroad was in enviable company—other winners included the top PR and advertising firms in Chicago, such as Edelman PR, PCI and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, and not-for-profit organizations that included the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Museum of Science & Industry, Rotary International, and many others.

We are very proud of our Festival because of the extraordinary films we received-- our sincerest thanks go to all the students who participated in the Festival last year and to our Center staff for running programs that inspire students to make these films.

Furthermore, we’re also indebted to our 2014 Film Festival Jury who donated their time to watch and vote on the student films.

The 2015 Study Abroad Film Festival is now accepting submissions.

View all the 2014 films and then submit your own film by the July 1, 2015, deadline!
