While we work on some upgrades to our website, login will be unavailable for about a full day this Friday night through Saturday, September 30th. You will still be able to peruse the IES Abroad website, but will not be able to access your MyIESabroad account during that window. Bon Appétit! IES Abroad Nantes' New Culinary Workshops

Last fall, IES Abroad Nantes launched a new activity: a culinary workshop! Internship Coordinator Madame Duportail gives cooking lessons to a small group of students (6-8 for each session) regularly in the Center kitchen.

The students make everything from scratch, following a recipe and the expert advice and tips from Madame Duportail. Our Nantes students enjoy French cuisine at their homestay and at restaurants, and now they can learn and practice the art of cooking sweet and savory traditional and much-loved dishes (gâteau nantais, soufflés, choux à la crème, éclairs au chocolat, poisson au beurre blanc, blanquette de veau, and more).

When the food is ready, everyone sits at the table and savors their dishes together! Students promise to try the recipes again back home in the United States (and they do, IES Abroad Nantes has received pictures!).
