神田際 Kanda Festival

So in Japan, all colleges have a large festival in the Fall. It’s a festival by the students, who run food stands and small shops even to raise funds for their clubs. They have some delicious food, like kebobs, burgers, and other foods that you don’t usually run across in Japan. And then for the clubs that are performance based, like dance or singing, put on shows at various places and times. Some of my best Japanese friends go to Kanda Daigaku, so I went to celebrate and see them perform. The dance groups at Kanda, hiphop especially are notorious for how hard they practice, and the hard work obviously paid off.

One of the most popular performances at Kanda's festival was the bellydancing. There were also cheerleaders. A concert by some of the students. The highlight of the Day. The best french toast I have found since I got here was at a student run stand. Universities always have a Mr/Miss contest during their festivals. The hula dancers were also really good. There was this other group that I don't know really how to describe, but they were really good too.

These are links to videos of the performances too.
