Lectures, unpacking, a scavenger hunt, and plenty of group bonding time!

Our first day in Shanghai! Students wait for the introductory orientation session. The inside of a dorm room. IES provided lamps, routers for internet, and toilet paper. Very helpful! Families come to the campus lawn for picnics every day. We took photos on the Bund while waiting for our cruise. The Bund during daytime We took a river cruise to see the Bund at night. On our river cruise! Great view of the lights from our boat. The buildings on the Bund all light up at night, and its spectacular. The Oriental Peal on the left, and historical buildings of the Bund on the right. The Oriental Pearl and surrounding buildings. Many students purchased SIM cards form China Mobile. We participated in a photo scavenger hunt, and this statue of Shanghai's first Mayor was on our list of items. We were told to find the Oriental Pearl on our scavenger hunt. Not hard.
