This initiative is aimed at doubling the number of U.S. students studying abroad over the next five years. The overall goal is to achieve an annual study abroad total of 600,000 students by the end of the decade. As part of this partnership, IES Abroad will intensify efforts to provide greater access to study abroad and international internship opportunities for more U.S. undergraduate students, including first generation and other underrepresented students through on-campus engagement, parent engagement, scholarships, and social media.

A non-profit charitable organization founded in 2001, the Forum on Education Abroad improves education abroad programs to benefit the students who participate in them.
