Partnering with Your School
IES Abroad works directly with your home university's study abroad office to confirm which programs are pre-approved for credit transfer, so coursework taken abroad counts towards your degree before you even apply.
Selecting the Right Program
IES Abroad offers 140+ study abroad & internship programs across 30+ countries, letting you choose by location, academic discipline, program length, and format. Your program advisor will help you choose the best option that fits your goal.
Applying & the Process
Once you've chosen a program, you'll submit one application covering your academic transcripts, personal statement, and references, and a dedicated advisor will guide you through every step that follows.
Funding & Scholarships
IES Abroad commits nearly $7.9 million in scholarships and aid. The application just takes 10 minutes, and you'll know your full aid package within 5 business days, even if you have not yet applied for a program.
Preparing for Your Adventure
Once you're officially accepted, you'll receive helpful pre-departure materials covering housing, visas, and exactly what to expect on site, and your program advisor will be there to help you through out the process.

Launched in 2014, the Study Abroad Film Festival asks students to capture the spirit of study abroad. From poignant music videos to compelling documentaries to humorous reenactments, our students stop short of nothing to creatively depict their experiences from abroad.

Traveling to another country means you need a passport, and it also means you might need something called a visa (or a residence permit!). It's important to do your research early and thoroughly. Along the way, we have a group of savvy visa specialists ready to assist.
