The Sam McQuade Nantes Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Mme. Suzanne Hugues, was established by Sam W. McQuade, Nantes 1967-68. Mme. She passed away in December 1969.

Mr. McQuade is the retired owner of McQuade Distributing Co., Inc. in Bismarck, ND, a company begun by his father, and currently managed by his daughter, Shannon. He created this scholarship because he felt privileged to have studied abroad in Nantes, studying and learning the French language and culture.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Enroll in an IES Abroad Nantes semester or full year program.
  • Have an expected family contribution (EFC) of $30,000 or less.
