Hey! My name is Ellie Carter, I am a senior in college studying media advertising and minoring in political science and Spanish at Indiana University. I am studying abroad on the Barcelona Summer - Language and Area Studies - Summer 2021 and am looking forward to all that I get to share with you about my time here. In my free time, I love cooking, spending time with my friends, and running. I am excited to explore the city through food and find hidden gems in Barcelona as well as other Spanish cities. My name is Eli McCoy, I'm going into my senior year at Indiana University in Bloomington and I'm currently a double major in History and English. I plan on going to Law School after I finish my undergraduate degrees and would like to work in Family Law. In my free time, I have a few hobbies that I am very passionate about and like to spend time on. The first is reading, something that has always been a passion of mine, I try to read somewhere between 15-20 books a year. I'm also a big fan of lifting and MMA, I lift 4-5 times a week and have been training boxing for almost 5 years now. Finally, I love all forms of poetry and love writing it myself in any form. I'm really looking forward to broadening my travels and experiencing a new culture!

I am a Marketing student who transferred from the College of Lake County to the University of Illinois at Chicago. I have a passion for art, music, and learning Japanese. My hobbies include video editing, playing guitar, playing video games, watching pro-wrestling, reading manga, and going to concerts. My favorite bands are Dance Gavin Dance and Rage Against the Machine. My favorite pro-wrestlers are Kenny Omega and Pentagon Jr. Finally, my favorite manga is One Piece.

I am a student of journalism and geography at the University of Maryland, College Park. Although I was born in Chicago, I grew up in the city of Baltimore. When I'm not studying, I work as a whitewater raft guide in the Appalachian mountains. I love adventure, romantic comedies, snow, bell-bottoms, maps, mystery novels and my cat, Sebastian (he is 15 years old and I have him on a diet right now because he is very fat).

Hi! My name is Ang (rhymes with dang) and I'm a junior at Hope College in Holland, MI. I'm majoring in geology and I'm really passionate about volcanoes, so be prepared for me to talk about rocks. Besides geology, I like hiking, eating (especially sweets), and playing video games.

Hi! I’m Keeli and I’m a junior anthropology major from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with minors in English, history, sociology, Asian studies, and Japanese (phew!). It’s a lot of work, but I love taking classes in the social sciences & humanities because it’s so rewarding to learn about such a wide variety of disciplines. They help me understand the world’s complexity when it can be tempting to think otherwise.

I love listening to all kinds of music, drawing, finding cool art, listening to podcasts, watching anime, and sharing memes. I also love cooking with my friends-- there’s nothing more satisfying than enjoying a meal that we all worked together to create! I’m also a big fan of frogs.

Hi! I'm Skylar. I'm a senior at Hope College, majoring in Chemistry on the premed track. The semester I study abroad is my last semester and I will graduate (and apply to medical school) when I come back to the States! I am thrilled I get to study abroad before I graduate. I am so excited to share the adventures I have while I study abroad in Rabat, Morocco with you all. After 3.5 years of all science all the time, I am looking forward to taking a break and explore Morocco with IES Abroad. I am most looking forward to learning Arabic and living with a host family.
