...You Can Dance If You Want To: A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending Lollapolooza outside of Buenos Aires in the lovely town of San Isidro. The music was great, the weather was decent, and only beer was served inside the event so everyone remained conscious and in good spirits. The most striking thing about Lolla was the realization that Argentines don't dance at concerts.

Foam Wars and Baby Trees

From hard work to hard play, this blog post includes some of my favorite days so far in Ecuador! First off, me and a couple of wonderful girls spent a day of the celebrating the holiday called Carnaval in a small town called Guaranda where the festivities are real. We arrived late in the after coming back from a hike, so we missed the parade but still saw some of the extravagantly dressed members of different groups walking around in their colorful costumes.

This is what my friend Elena said to me as she left Dublin this Sunday. She came to visit me for the weekend from Paris, where she’s been studying for the semester. She got to meet my friends and peers. She got to meet Darragh. She got to meet everyone important to me here.

The Countdown Begins

It is now April, which means I have less than one month left in Nice. I have planned this month out very carefully by not planning anything. I have decided to be done with weekend trips; instead, I would like to enjoy my last month making sure I get the most out of the city I chose to study in.

Also, totally unrelated, traveling is expensive and guess who is starting to feel like she should maybe save some money? This girl.
