I love storytelling because of the unique narrative style that each author has, be it through prose or poetry. In a time where understanding each other is of the utmost importance, you can usually learn the most about a person through their work and writing. I value my own distinctive voice, and I hope to share my experiences and convey the knowledge and wisdom I gain from my time abroad through a blog or another platform.
I am a Michigan native studying Global & International Studies, Arabic, and Spanish. I am a slow traveler and I value getting lost, staying with locals, and learning new languages and traditions. This fall, I am eating my way through the amazing food of the Maghreb and asking a lot of questions about camels, how to barter, and how to say “more tea please?” in Darija
I am always on the go, whether I am traveling, exploring new cafes in New York, or covering events throughout Long Island for my internship with Hamptons.com. I find so much joy in new experiences and ultimately think my passion for travel has helped me become the person I am today.
I attend Loyola University Chicago and am majoring in environmental science with a chemistry minor. When I’m not studying, I’m planning events and handling communications for the Student Environmental Alliance club. This has included cultivating previous journalism experience into scientific literature or publications. I try to keep busy with internships and campus events.
Besides academics, I enjoy being with friends and unwinding with video games, a book or TV. My favorite games are multiplayer and I binge watched Orange is the New Black in two days. I love being out in nature and try to go on adventures.
I'm Dani - a leftie, a henna artist, and a wannabe world-traveler. My passion for exploring began when I was 10: taking inspiration from Indiana Jones, I fancied myself "Indiana Dani." Ecuador will be my second time studying abroad, as I spent a semester last year in Granada, Spain. I'm hooked, and hope to one day work in this industry!
I grew up in Colorado, but moved across the country to attend college in Maine. I'm an economics and Hispanic Studies double major with a minor in math, but writing is my real passion. I work for my college newspaper and have done other work for several blogs, magazine, and websites.
Argentinian-American, Rome-in’ around. Born in Italy, sad she doesn’t have an Italian passport (yet). -- Check out my posts and follow me on my quest for citizenship and the perfect cappuccino.
Hi! My name is Esteban Angeles and I attend the University of Richmond. I love playing Ultimate Frisbee, basketball, and reading about random topics. My favorite things to talk about are sports, politics, or dogs. I've lived in NYC my whole life and I'm the son of two immigrant Dominican parents.
Hey, I'm Alexis! I'm a born and raised San Diego, California girl and (no surprise here) I love the beach, warm weather, and all things outdoors--from riding bikes on the coast to exploring hidden hiking trails. However, my biggest passion in life is softball. I have been playing for ten years now, and I currently play in college (go tigers!). In the summer I help coach youth softball teams and serve as a camp counselor. I love being around people, sharing my energy with others, and just having a good time living life!
