In this vlog, I take you through a typical day training with my futból team, Inter Granada CF, here in Granada, Spain — sorry in advance for non-Spanish speakers, this video is fully in español :) The day starts with my usual routine: getting ready and catching the bus from my neighborhood (shoutout to Realejo!) to the field, which is about 20 minutes away. I always arrive a bit early to listen to music and warm up before practice starts. Since it was a Friday session, we kicked things off with Rondos (arguably my favorite part), and then jumped straight into small-sided games — always super fun and competitive. Between games, I interviewed some of my teammates about their experience playing in Spain and what they love most about living in Granada. Hope you enjoy the really thought-provoking insight – una broma :). We wrapped up with a crossbar challenge — stakes were high with a one-euro bet on the line. Unfortunately, I am at the end of my study abroad program, and as anyone at this phase of the abroad life knows, Euros are few and far between. So, sadly, I didn’t win the pot (even though I did hit the bar, thank you very much). However, I walked away with my pride, which is what matters. Post-training, I always treat myself to an Aquarius — Spain’s far superior answer to Gatorade. If you haven’t tried one, please do yourself a favor: run into any store and buy yourself one! Playing with Inter Granada CF has been a highlight of my semester abroad. I have grown as a player and person – playing in a competitive environment, meeting teammates from all around the world, and improving my Spanish along the way. Thank you for following my journey here in Spain, and I hope you enjoy the video!
