Porta Portese Market

Porta Portese, Italy’s biggest market, pops up every Sunday and we decided to check it out. The market certainly lives up to it’s title since it had everything you could think of: clothes, jewelry, flowers, chandeliers, guns, cameras, toys, etc! While it took a couple hours to get through the entirety of it, it was well worth it.

The market was packed with both tourists and locals

There were many vendors selling cool, vintage, unique items

Such as hand-crafted sailboat ornaments

Antique jewelry

Lovely fresh flowers

This street performer was garnering a lot of attention with his unique, personally-designed musical instrument

The market carried a kind of vibrant and active atmosphere and I hope to be able to find myself visiting it again during my time here. If ever in Rome on a Sunday, this is definitely something you don’t want to miss!
