<p>Hi! My name is Joy Howard, I am a sophomore Political Science major, Biology and Chemistry double minor at Howard University! I am so very passionate about effectively making a difference in our community by reversing exclusionary health policies. When I complete my undergraduate curriculum, I plan on pursuing degrees in law and public health focusing on improving women’s health care around the world. Outside of the classroom, you can find me in my favorite pilates studio, journalling, or at my latest internship.</p>

<p>My name is Madison Daubert and I am a Junior at Temple University, studying Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Special Education. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I also love taking care of my dogs and cats. Some of my hobbies and interests include, singing, photography and videography.</p>

<p>My biggest passion in life has always been riding horses. I began riding when I was in the second grade and love it even more than I did when I started. I used to do a lot of creative writing about horses and riding, and this experience stimulated my love of writing in the academic sphere. I cherish any chance to combine these two passions in creative academic settings.</p>

<p>Hi there! I'm a psychology and French student setting out on a dream to explore Paris. Some of my favorite things include working with kids, writing stories, and giving tours of my campus back home.</p>

<p>Rebecca Carey has been an avid literature and science fiction fan since reading her father’s copy of Ron Hubbard’s “Battlefield Earth” as a child. She has been writing professionally for two years and has published prose, poetry, and short fiction in the University of Iowa’s undergraduate literary reviews ‘InkLit,’ ‘Witness,’ and ‘Peripheral’ in 2018 and 2019, and has published poetry translations in the University of Iowa’s undergraduate translation Journal ‘Boundless’ in 2019. She is a Creative Writing and Translation student at the Univerisity of Iowa hoping to pursue a Master’s degree in translation studies after graduation. When she isn’t buried in a book, she’s usually somewhere in between the realm of overthinking, daydreaming, and wishing she was born 500 years in the future so she could have lived on Mars. Favorite novels of hers include Trenton Lee Stwart’s “The Mysterious Benedict Society,” Jeff Vandermeer’s “Annihilation,” and William Burrough’s “Naked Lunch.” Some of her favorite Chilean authors are Lina Meruane, Roberto Balaño, and Pablo Neruda.</p>

<p>My favorite hobbies are running and wrestling. I started playing soccer when I was seven, but I gradually made my way to wrestling and running as I got older. I really enjoyed the team and the individual aspect of that these sports gave me that many other sports cannot.</p>

<p>Growing up in a diverse and creative environment like New York City, I became interested in music, drawing, reading, and creative writing. My large family was extremely supportive of my hobbies and encouraged me to enter competitions for storytelling, performing arts, and art expos. I learned a lot about myself and learned to share my hobbies with my family throughout this process.</p>

<p>I love writing so much that it has become both my job and my hobby. One of my favorite things to write for lately has been my (very nerdy) hobby of Dungeons and Dragons. I love it because I get to create a story together with my friends. Otherwise, I enjoy creative writing (short radio plays, stand up comedy) and reading.</p>

<p>I am originally from Colorado but am studying Engineering at the University of Nebraska. I have found a love of traveling that has been inspired by multiple vacations that my parents took me on while growing up. One of my absolute favorite things to do while traveling is go shark diving, which I have been lucky enough to do twice! I love experiencing new things and hope to bring that sense of adventure to every aspect of my life.</p>

<p>Hi, my name is Alexandra, and I am a sophomore finance major and English minor, as well as being on the pre-law track, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. On campus, I am on a business fraternity and have an on-campus job. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, shopping, working out, and of course, traveling. Hong Kong is the 31st country or city-state I've visited, and I cannot wait to share my experiences with students interested in visiting!</p>
