Hi! My name is Amelia, and I’m an International Studies major at Macalester College in St Paul, Minnesota. I grew up in Takoma Park, Maryland, but spent my middle school years in Lilongwe Malawi. Some of my favorite things include but are not limited to: spending time in the sunshine, making matcha, going to any and all local farmer’s markets, and talking to strangers in coffee shops.

Hi everyone, my name is Paola, I use she/her and they/them pronouns, and I'm currently a third-year student studying Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis! I'm incredibly excited to be spending my spring 2023 semester abroad in Amsterdam while studying at the VU, and look forward to exploring the various music, art and film scenes in the city. Back home, my hobbies include playing the guitar for the band I'm in (Mega Brat, punk music!), spending time with friends at the WashU Co-op, rock climbing and hiking/camping trips!

Hi! My name is Rachel Alliker and I am a Junior Psychology major and Spanish and Honors Forum double minor at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY! I am from Greenwich, CT and I’m excited to be studying abroad in Amsterdam with IES (Spring 2023). At Skidmore, I am one of the head tour guides, a Writing Center tutor, a sustainability office volunteer. I’m also a part of the Positive Psychology Lab and Co-Vice President of the Honors Forum. Outside of academics, I love to bake, read, spend time with my friends and my dogs.

Hi, I'm Kim! I truly feel that traveling is important in order to gain new experiences that can be used to ensure a successful professional life and personal life. Amsterdam is somewhere that I have never traveled before, so I was really excited when I saw that it was an option for me! Being able to travel around Europe while I am there seems super fun to me and this experience will definitely be one that I cherish forever! In my future, I hope to eventually work as a criminal psychologist. A fun fact about me is that I have been dancing since I was 2 years old and I am currently a part of a club dance team at Penn State University!
