Upon arrival you will you will participate in a one-week mandatory orientation program in Nantes which will introduce you to academic and everyday life in the city. The week is devoted to intensive French language sessions consisting of lessons in grammar, conversation, and civilization, as well as homework of grammar exercises and reading a French work of literature. You must arrive in Nantes by 6pm on the arrival date. If you are delayed during travel refer to your "Print Me Guide" for further instructions. Most students traveling to Nantes will fly to Paris and then take the train to Nantes. Paris has two major airports serving international flights: Orly (ORY) and Roissy/Charles de Gaulle (CDG). Most students will fly into the Paris CDG Airport, where the majority of flights from the United States arrive.
