Dr. Morten Solvik holds a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Music and Intellectual History from Cornell University. He has created and taught courses at a number of institutions and designed our Vienna Music Program before serving as the Center Director of IES Abroad Vienna from 2009 to 2023. Dr. Solvik’s teaching experience is augmented by his active scholarly career as an expert on composer Gustav Mahler.
