Brussels – the Capital of the EU

After a few busy weeks of travel and homework, I am finally getting back to blogging! To start off, I’ll blog about our last trip and end with some recent photos from Freiburg! Our last trip was based on the EU Institutions and we got to attend various academic meetings which were really awesome. In Brussels we visited the Council of the EU and the European Commission as a group, and I attended meetings at the Foundation for European Progressive Studies, Permanent Delegation of Turkey to the EU and Representation of the Flemish Government and the Permanent Representation of Belgium. Between the meetings, we enjoyed all the city of Brussels had to offer and had some great food. Not going to lie, we may have had Belgium waffles and fries for dinner several times!
