Beginning Wednesday, July 1 at 8:30 a.m. Central Time, you will not be able to log in or create an account while we transition to our new student portal. Access is expected to be restored by the end of the day on Monday, July 6.

If you have started any forms in your MyIESabroad student portal, please complete and submit them by end of day Tuesday, June 30. Submitted forms will carry over automatically. Any forms that are started but not submitted by June 30 will not transfer—but don't worry, you'll still have access to the same forms in the new portal on July 6.

For more details, please review our student system upgrade information. Want a heads-up when the new portal is live? Fill out our interest form. Thank you for your patience during this transition. We're excited to welcome you into the new portal and continue supporting you every step of the way.

Student Portal Upgrade: What You Need to Know

This July, we’re upgrading our systems to better support you. As part of this, we're launching a brand-new Student Portal on Monday, July 6 to replace your current MyIESAbroad Account.

To prepare for the transition, the current student portal will be temporarily offline starting around 8:30a.m. CT on July 1 and back online by end of day July 6.

We’ve put together this page to serve as your go-to resource during the transition. What you will find on this page:

You have already received emails from us with detailed information about the transition, so you can always refer back to those as well!

What's waiting for you on July 6

Starting July 6, you'll find everything in the new Student Portal—accessed the same way, through the IES Abroad website. Your login stays the same and your student data carries over automatically. You’ll be able to:

  • View grades, course enrollments, and transcripts
  • View invoices, make payments, and see payment history
  • Complete tasks, forms, and application materials
  • Access program information and your Predeparture Guide

What's not changing:

  • Your login—same username and password
  • All your submitted student data-carried over automatically (individual forms that have no been submitted yet will not carry over-you'll need to restart those in the new portal after July 6)
  • Application requirements—unchanged
  • How you reach IES Abroad staff
  • Emergency and health & safety support—always available

Update Your Safe Sender List

We're updating our email domain, which means some IES Abroad emails may land in your spam starting July 6. These are incoming addresses only — you'll still reach us at the same addresses you've been using. Add these to your safe sender list so you don't miss anything important.

Not sure how? Search "add safe sender" + your email provider's name for quick instructions.
