About the Program
Start your program in Rome, where you’ll begin to appreciate how these cities have developed around the central idea of cultural heritage and patrimony. You will then continue your adventure in Paris. Your courses will integrate class time with course-related trips to art and cultural management institutions, including visits to well-known museums such as the Vatican Museum, and the Musée d’Orsay.
You will learn about the development of the history of art as you move chronologically from the Eternal City (ancient art) to the City of Light (modernism), with an included multi-day excursion to Tuscany intended to bridge the gap between medieval and Renaissance transitions in the social functions and aesthetics of art and museums.
