Late Arrival Late arrivals are not permitted unless warranted by a documented medical or family emergency and approved by IES Abroad. If your flights are delayed or canceled before you arrive in your host country, use the information provided in the Print Me document (emailed 2-3 weeks before your program begins) to contact us. Our staff will communicate the details of your delayed arrival to the on site Center staff.
Shipping & Storing Luggage Because there is a customs fee that needs to be paid upon arrival, our Center cannot accept any shipped luggage. To avoid your things getting stuck in a shipping snafu, don’t ship anything to the Center ahead of time! Similarly, the IES Abroad Center is not available to store luggage before, during, or after your program. To ensure your items are kept safe, we recommend finding alternative options in your local city.

The virtual orientation course also includes a Student Forum where you are able to introduce yourself and get to know your fellow classmates. It's a good space to learn about others on the program, whether anyone else...
